As TechBloq is an Ofsted-registered as a childcare provider, you may be eligible to claim back up to 85% of your childcare costs through Universal Credit, provided you meet the necessary criteria.

Eligibility Criteria:
- Registered Provider: The childcare must be provided by an Ofsted-registered provider.
- Employment Status: You must be in paid work or have a job offer starting within the next month.
- Child’s Age: You can claim childcare costs for children up to the 31st of August following their 16th birthday.
Claiming Process:
- Pay for Childcare: You are required to pay for the childcare services upfront.
- Report Costs: Report your childcare costs through your Universal Credit online account as soon as possible after payment. Delays beyond 2 months may result in ineligibility for reimbursement.
- Provide Evidence: Submit proof of your childcare provider’s registration and payment receipts. This can include contracts, invoices, or letters from the provider detailing:
- Provider’s name, registration number, address, and phone number.
- Names of the children receiving care.
- Type of childcare provided (e.g. after-school care or out-of-school care).
Reimbursement Details:
- Coverage: Universal Credit can reimburse up to 85% of your eligible childcare costs.
- Monthly Caps: The maximum amounts you can receive are:
- £1,014.63 per month for one child.
- £1,739.37 per month for two or more children.
- By ensuring your chosen centre is Ofsted-registered and following the proper claiming procedures, you can receive substantial support for your childcare costs through Universal Credit.
