September 2026: What’s New at TechBloq

We’ve been listening and paying attention and September brings some of our most significant improvements yet. Here’s everything you need to know.

KS3 and IGCSE classes are back

After focusing on KS1-KS2 provision, we’re delighted to reintroduce classes for older students. From September, KS3 and IGCSE sessions will run three times a week as 3-hour sessions; giving students the structured, sustained learning time these subjects need.

Years 4-5 will become a combined class

To allow us to reintroduce older year groups without increasing class sizes, our Years 4-5 girls and boys will be merging into one class from September. Years 5-6 classes as well as KS3 & IGCSE groups will continue to be taught in single-gender groups.

Afternoon sessions will start at 11:30am

Afternoon sessions are moving to 11:30am-2:30pm. We originally adjusted our finish time during Ramadan and noticed that a 2:30 collection worked much better for families so we’ve made it permanent from September.

After-school enrichment clubs

The earlier finish creates space for something new: optional after-school enrichment clubs, available each term as a separate add-on. These will rotate each term and may include PE, baking, sewing and other practical skills. Pricing and details for the first term’s clubs will follow shortly.

New provision for children with complex educational needs

From September, we’ll be trialling dedicated sessions for children with complex educational needs, on Mondays and Thursdays, 2:45-4pm. These are designed to provide focused support in a very small-group setting. Find out more about these sessions here: Supporting Complex Educational Needs at TechBloq

Fee adjustment from September

Fees will increase by £5 per month for families attending 2 or 3 sessions per week; a rise of under 3%, and our first adjustment since 2022. Families attending once a week will see no change. Click here to view updated fees.

Our sibling discount continues to apply and if you attend 3 times a week you’ll also benefit from a further discounted rate for our enrichment clubs, making it our best value option.

As we are an Ofsted-registered provider, TechBloq families may be eligible to claim back up to 85% of childcare costs through Universal Credit. If you haven’t looked into this yet, it could make a significant difference to what you actually pay. You can check your eligibility here: What Support Am I Entitled to?

Re-enrolment

Current families have priority enrolment. To secure your child’s place for September, please contact us by Thursday July 9th.

We’re looking forward to what September brings: more provision and more opportunities for your child.
